Food and drink

At King Edward VI High School we believe that a good healthy meal will help your brain function better and therefore you will do better at school. Our Dining Hall serves up great tasting, fun and nutritious meals to help you build strong bodies, sharp minds and lead healthy lives!

To buy food in the Dining Hall, you will need to make sure your parents have put you some credit on your ParentPay account. Then you just select your food, take it to the pay counter and then either use your thumb or a PIN to make payment. Then just enjoy your meal!

Our school is a cashless environment so you will need to use ParentPay to pay for things. Your parents/carers will need to set up a ParentPay account and then tell the school which way you will be paying in school - this is all done through the Post Admissions Information Form (PAIF1). We will register your thumbprints either in July or September.

If you are entitled to Free School Meals the process is the same, though you don't necessarily need a ParentPay account, unless you want to add extra credit.

If you don't usually have hot dinners and like to bring your own sandwiches, you can eat in the Main Hall instead, or on one of the designated picnic benches around school. Just make sure you tidy up after yourselves and put your litter in the bin!

If your child requires an adapted medical diet menu, please read the caterer's policy below and then print and complete the Medical Diet Request Form and return it the School Office as soon as possible.
